Due to storm sewer construction work on 47th street by Western Springs, a section of the concrete bike path at the end of the pedestrian bridge had to be removed. Now that work on the storm sewer project is nearing completion, the temporary stone bypass path will be removed and the concrete path will be restored. In order for the work to be completed, the pedestrian bridge on 47th street will be closed from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26 (weather permitting). Access from the bridge to Spring Rock Park will be restricted during this time.
