The Village licenses Allied Waste for residential garbage, refuse
and recycling collection. Please contact Allied Waste at 630-964-3232.
Collection
Days The Village is divided in two collection areas. South and North of
the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks. Primary collections (days when
waste, recycling, and yard waste materials and bulk items are collected) are:
Monday:
South of the railroad tracks Thursday: North of the railroad tracks
Twice
per week service customers will have their primary collection for all waste services
as above, and second collections will occur as follows:
North
of railroad tracks on Monday South of railroad tracks on Thursday
Reminder:
Only household waste materials will be collected on the secondary collection;
no yard waste or recycling will be collected. Yard
Waste is collected April 1 through the last week of November.

Bulk items and recycling materials collected curbside.
Refuse Cart Options
1x per week- $27.55 per month (64-gallon cart) or $28.28 (95-gallon cart)
One 64-gallon or 95-gallon wheeled container collected at the rear of the home, one time per week.
Bulk and recycling materials collected curbside.
Twice
per Week Option
One 34-gallon garbage can-$34.85 per month
One 64-gallon refuse cart- $38.35 per month
One 95-gallon refuse cart- $38.98 per month
Includes standard service, plus a second collection of one 34-gallon can on the secondary day (see collection days). Only household waste materials will be collected on the secondary collection, no yard waste or recycling or bulk items will be collected.

Sticker
$2.50 each
Waste stickers or tags are required on all extra garbage, yard waste bags, or bulk items. One sticker per each 34 gallon can or bag of waste, yard waste bag, or bulk item is required. Stickers are available at the municipal offices and at local Hinsdale Merchants.

Collection Schedule: The
following holidays will affect the regularly scheduled collections in the Village
of Hinsdale: New
Years' Day, Memorial Day Independence Day, Labor Day Thanksgiving Day,
Christmas Day If
the holiday falls on a weekday, (on or before your scheduled collections) service
will be delayed by one day. For example, if Christmas falls on a Monday, then
the waste collection will take place on Tuesday. Regular collection will resume
on Thursday of the same week. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, then Monday's
pickup will be delayed one day. Another example: For Thanksgiving, waste collection
will take place on Friday. Regular collection will resume on Monday of the following
week. Holiday information is also available on a 24-hour phone information system.
Call 630-964-3232. Christmas Tree Collections
Christmas Trees will be collected free of charge if placed at the curb during
the weeks following Christmas Day and New Year's Day. All decorations and trimming
must be removed from the tree. Flocked trees will not be accepted. Back

Recycling Guide Disposal
of Electronic Items If
you have an old computer, monitor, television, radio, or anything electronic that
is either no longer functional or is taking up space in your basement or garage,
contact the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs. The Bureau
of Energy and Recycling has a free brochure that lists organizations and companies

Hinsdale American Legion Post 250 will accept used American flags for proper disposal.
A red, white, and blue Unservicable American Flag Disposal drop box has been installed
in the circle drive in front of the Hinsdale Public Library next to the Library's
drop box. Flags can be placed in the American Legion drop box any time.
