BURNS ICE RINK STATUS

Status as of February 1, 2010.
The ice at Burns Field is open for skating. The rink is located at 320 N. Vine.

GREEN - "ok to ice skate"
RED - "not safe to skate"

When the ice is ready the warming house hours will be 10:00 am-7:00 pm on weekends and and 4:00-8:00 pm on weekdays.

Over 600 programs are offered by the Hinsdale Park and Recreation Department annually. The year round activities are designed to meet the leisure interests of Hinsdale residents.

Community Special Events organized by the Department include the 4th of July Parade and Festival, Fall Family Festival, and one outdoor concert each year. Many other special events are also held throughout the year.

The Village of Hinsdale is a member of the Gateway Special Recreation Association. Current members have pooled resources to contract with the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities to provide recreational service for children and adults with disabilities.

Many programs are offered through Gateway including bowling, bike riding, Special Olympics training, swimming and tennis. Registration for camp and other Gateway programs is taken at the Anna Emery Hanson Center located at 59th and Garfield Streets.

For Families who wish to participate in more integrated programming through their local park and recreation departments, Ray Graham Staff are available to help act as a resource. This service is offered free to residents of Gateway SRA member communites. For more information please visit the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities website.
