As part of their 10-year "Investing in Illinois" program, Nicor Gas is performing utility infrastructure work in the Village in 2016. Work began in early February in Cook County and in late March in DuPage County, and it will continue periodically throughout the year.
The majority of Nicor's work will consist of directional boring of new pipelines in parkways; however, affected residents will be required to provide Nicor with access to their homes to allow the utility to switch services. Nicor or its subcontractor, NPL, will be contacting residents directly when work is scheduled in their area. The streets scheduled for this year are shown in the Nicor project map.
