The Village of Hinsdale is currently accepting applications for a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer in the Police Department.
The position is responsible for enforcing any parking violations throughout the Village, including the business districts, municipal parking lots, all metered areas, permit parking lots and all posted areas requiring regulation.
The work environment generally includes the outdoors. The noise level can be loud. The incumbent is subject to inclement weather conditions and working in high traffic areas. The work requirements include patrolling assigned parking areas on foot.
Education equivalent to a high school diploma required. Valid IL Driver's License required.
The assigned hours are Tuesday-Friday: 10:00a.m. – 4:00p.m, Saturdays: 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. Starting salary is $12/hour. This is a part-time position and therefore not eligible for sick, vacation leave or insurance benefits. The incumbent will be enrolled in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (mandatory).
