The Plan Commission meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall of the Memorial Building, 19 East Chicago Avenue, Hinsdale, Illinois. Special meetings are scheduled as needed.

The Plan Commission consists of nine members who are appointed by the Village President to serve three-year terms. The Plan Commission reviews all applications for planned unit developments, zoning code amendments, special use permits, and lot subdivisions. It then forwards recommendations to the Board of Trustees on these matters. The Plan Commission is also responsible for reviewing the exterior appearance and site plan for all nonresidential development. In addition, the Plan Commission reviews all sign permit applications and renders decisions on those permits.
